Quevedo Tawny Port

Wood-aged for around five years. Deep and complex with a long finish, the French tend to drink young Tawny chilled as an aperitif.

Region: Portugal
Sub Region: Douro
Style: Port
Grapes: Touriga Franca
Blend: Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Barroca, Tinto Cão
Alcohol: 19.5
Producer Information: The Quevedo family are a small, family owned winery in the Douro Valley; a region dominated by big houses. Although they have been tending vineyards and making Port for many years it's only recently that they have been able export their own wines.
Tasting Note: With five years in cask this tawny has more tertiary characteristics than similarly priced tawnies. The wood ageing facilitates oxidation leading to added layers of flavour and contributes to the long finish. Not too sweet and incredibly moreish.
Price Range: Above £15
