Tandem Syrah du Maroc 2012

Made by one of our favourite French wine makers, but in the sunny climes near to Casablanca. It’s a fruity, silky Rhône-style Syrah but with a little added Moroccan spice – and like nothing else we’ve tried.

Region: Morocco
Sub Region: Casablanca
Colour: Red
Style: Bold & Full Bodied
Grapes: Syrah
Blend: Syrah
Alcohol: 13.5
Producer Information: Alain Graillot has been producing wine in the Northern Rhône since 1985, and today is one of the most respected producers in the area. Graillot encountered the Moroccan Ouleb Thaleb winery on a cycling holiday, hence the name of this wine.
Tasting Note: A dark, rich and spicy Syrah, filled with baked fruit notes and a touch of pepper.
Foodism Magazine - May 2017: "A classic Levantine syrah, with lots of fruit and spice. This one’s 100% syrah, a little like a classic Rhône red."
Price Range: Above £15
